However, for this one, fans are a bit more excited than ever before because of the tight competition. Or, shall we say, different actresses!

Among all the actors and actresses nominated for all the different categories of the Golden Globes 2024, fans seem to be most hyped up about the one category that seemingly has the toughest competition: Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy.

And their excitement is pretty valid, considering the nominees for the category, which includes some of the best and most top-rated actresses of all time. As per the update by @FilmUpdates on X:

First off is Emma Stone, nominated for her exceptionally remarkable and indescribable performance in the soon-to-be-widely-released fantasy/sci-fi masterpiece, Poor Things.

Making the competition tougher is Margot Robbie for her sparkling performance in one of the most super-hyped comedy/fantasy movies of all time (that even led to a whole new phenomenon), Barbie.

Next is Fantasia Barrino nominated for her one-of-a-kind presentation of Celie on the big screen in the coming-of-age period musical drama, The Color Purple.

Listed next is Natalie Portman for her romance drama May December (though fans aren’t entirely sure why this movie is listed under the musical or comedy genres).

After her is the stunning beauty of Hollywood, Jennifer Lawrence for her stunning performance in the epic rom-com, No Hard Feelings.

Last, but not least, of course, is Alma Pöysti, nominated for her breathtaking performance as Ansa in yet another rom-com, Fallen Leaves.

Judging from all the names in this list, one thing is for sure: this is some tough competition for the Golden Globes, indeed!

Fans Are Rooting For These 2 Actresses Mainly

(L-R): Margot Robbie in Barbie and Emma Stone in Poor Things

While most would expect the hype to surround Jennifer Lawrence the most, considering how she is among the ones nominated for one of the best performances of her entire career, that hardly seems the case as fans take a U-turn to root for two other actresses: Emma Stone and Margot Robbie.

Although JLaw’s performance in the comedy was equally tremendous just like in every other one of her movies, this time, Stone and Robbie just might have surpassed her with even better performances. Well, at least that’s what fans are debating about on X right now:

As brilliant as both of their performances were, both Stone and Robbie have been incredibly commended by critics and fans alike. And judging from the massive fan support that they have, it seems that one of the two just might end up bagging the Golden Globe at the end.

For what its worth, the Golden Globes 2024 will be super interesting for sure!
