Yeah… you read that right. Veteran director Michael Bay, known for his Transformers franchise and explosive movies, is reportedly going to direct a TV show and a film about Skibidi Toilet.
Gen Alpha is most familiar with the concept of Skibidi Toilet. Being a YouTube series, the shorts feature a battle between human-headed toilets and humanoid characters equipped with electronic devices.

It’s a bit hard to describe the kind of videos and shorts that Alexey Gerasimov posts on his YouTube. Nonetheless, the series found worldwide fame and love by Gen Alpha and became known as Skibidi Toilet.
Featuring a battle between human-headed toilets and humans, the YouTube shorts and funny and bizarre in nature. What’s more even bizarre is that veteran director Michael Bay has allegedly decided to make a movie and a TV adaptation out of it!
Taking to Variety, former Paramount Pictures president Adam Goodman talked about teaming with Bay. From talks of the current trends to Gen Alpha, Adam Goodman revealed that they are working actively on getting this conversation going!
We are absolutely in talks right now, both on the television side and the earliest conversations right now on the film side. But it’s not a be-all, end-all for us.
He further continued,
He’s [Michael Bay] building something that could be the next ‘Transformers’ or could be a Marvel universe.
Maybe this is all just an elaborate prank on the whole wide world or maybe the Skibidi-verse (patent pending) is truly getting a cinematic universe-esque adaptation from acclaimed director Michael Bay!
Safe to say, the world was clearly not impressed with the announcement. Especially, with a nostalgic director like Michael Bay allegedly working on Skibidi Toilet, the world was totally shocked.

Some people consider the popularity of Skibidi Toilet as the introduction of Gen Alpha humor on the internet. Well, Bay seems to be a part of Gen Alpha since he is rumored to be attached to the adaptation.
Nonetheless, people took to their social media accounts on X and talked about the adaptation of Skibidi Toilet. With Bay’s plans to convert the YouTube shorts into a cinematic universe, it seems that people are really concerned.

Michael Bay last directed the 2022 film Ambulance starring Eiza Gonzalez and Jake Gyllenhaal which received average and mixed reviews. The director is also attached to one upcoming project titled Robocalypse which is currently in production.
