Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers is coming back with the much-awaited sequel The Marvels, but she’s not the only cosmic force this time around. She will be joined by Monica Rambeau played by Teyonah Parris, and Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan will serve as a welcome addition.
Marvel is set to further enhance their interconnected franchise and The Marvels will serve as the focal point. Captain Marvel, introducing Skrulls set the stage for a bigger invasion that we are seeing currently on Secret Invasion, and the sequel is reported to be directly connected to the latter.
Fans are growing curious about the current rebellion that Nick Fury has been handling and are looking for answers as to how it all connects in The Marvels.
The Marvels Likely To Set Up A Larger MCU Timeline
There aren’t any hard guesses required to know that we are now heading toward a more galactic MCU and The Marvels reportedly has something for everyone.
Brie Larson’s version of Captain Marvel is well aware of her potential, but now, as she is joined by her two friends, it would be a fun ride to watch them learn to control theirs.
Don Cheadle weighed in on the project considering his appearance in Secret Invasion holds a much bigger secret.
“It’s bananas! And it’s very expansive. And obviously, now that everyone can show up in everybody else’s story. I mean, I’m in ‘Secret Invasion’. There’s a part of that, that kicks off what happens in ‘Armor Wars.’”
The Disney+ series Ms. Marvel and WandaVision have obvious links to The Marvels and it is advised by the great Nick Fury to watch them beforehand.
Samuel L. Jackson’s Involvement In The Marvels
Recently released set photos revealed the three superwomen in their super suits along with Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury, and that calls for a deeper look into how that happens.
Director Ali Selim hinted at Nick Fury’s addition to be a last-minute pivot to serve the greater build-up going forward.
“The answer is yes. It’s just simply, ‘Where do you need him? Do you need him here? Great.’ And then we write into that,” he told The Hollywood Reporter.

The final episode of Secret Invasion is not that far away now, and it will reportedly guide us into The Marvels as the Skrulls are far too powerful for him to tackle alone.
The Marvels will arrive to help Nick Fury neutralize the threat on November 10, this year.
