However, Garner has since denied this claim, stating that the film is still on track and started filming in June 2023, but production was halted due to the start of the SAG-AFTRA strike. Recently, he replied to a tweet on X by Discussing Films, claiming that both Minecraft live-action and Mortal Kombat 2 will start their filming in early 2024, by saying, “This is not true. We are filming before then.”
