Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch has been a part of the MCU since the days of Avengers: Age of Ultron, but it is only since WandaVision that she has risen in MCU’s ranks. Now, Olsen has an army of rabid fans, who are always asking when she’s returning to the fold.

While Olsen has offered no concrete information on that, she did share what it felt like to do her own stunts in the Marvel universe. As per the actress, it’s ridiculous, and she shouldn’t have even tried to waste everyone else’s time.

In a recent interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Elizabeth Olsen spilled about her experience filming her stunts in various Marvel projects. She specifically referenced a Doctor Strange 2 scene, where she had to be dropped from 30ft. Even though she did that stunt herself, the actress wasn’t quite satisfied with it.

She said:

“Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ where I had to be dropped from 30 feet up and land. They wanted to drop me pretty quickly so that it looked like it had an impact, but I kept landing like Peter Pan, kind of like fencing? I was like, ‘Just use the double. This is so ridiculous — there is a double for a reason. Like, face replace…’ They do it all the time. And they used it.”

This wasn’t the only singular incident where she was unsatisfied with her stunts. In fact, even though she performed most of her stunts, she didn’t like them, and felt that “It’s a waste of everyone’s time because a stunt double does it so much better.” However, even though the stunts didn’t always come out great, the Scarlet Witch actress loved performing them herself.

During the interview with Stephen Colbert, Elizabeth Olsen recalled that she felt joyous and giddy after doing her stunts. The Marvel star expressed that to her it felt like being on a roller coaster. She said:

“Your stomach leaves you. It’s like, I guess, the joy people get on roller coasters, which I don’t get, but people love that feeling. I’ve definitely recovered from my giddiness. Sometimes I’m just like, ‘Okay, how many more of these do you want? I can do this all day’ kind of thing. But sometimes I get a little freaked out.”

Fans would certainly love for Olsen to return so that she can keep carrying out her action scenes. But when is Scarlet Witch or Wanda Maximoff returning to the MCU? In a Screen Rant interview, she hinted that it was only a matter of time till her character made a comeback. As per Olsen:

“I feel like there’s a lot more humor to be had with her. She’s often the emotion of a story, and I’m curious to see what we can explore. And hopefully [we can] give her some redemption.”

Fans of the Scarlet Witch are theorizing that she will be seen again in Agatha: Coven of Chaos, Doctor Strange 3, or Avengers: Secret Wars. However, nothing has been confirmed as of yet. So now everyone is waiting and watching to see what Marvel’s next step is about Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff.

Doctor Strange 2 and WandaVision are streaming on Disney+.
