This role was previously played by Kevin Costner in Zack Snyder and Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel. While we cannot compare the two just yet, it seems like the fans are quite divided on this casting choice. On one hand, fans seem to believe he’s the perfect actor for the role, but on the other, fans just cannot picture him playing Pa Kent.

Superman has got to be one of the most-awaited films amongst fans of the superhero genre. However, when David Corenswet was revealed to be the man behind the Kryptonian superhero, a lot of people began putting their faith in Gunn. From Rachel Brosnahan (Lois Lane) to Nicholas Hoult (Lex Luthor), the casting has been at its best game so far. And now, actor Pruitt Taylor Vince has joined the party, according to The Wrap’s exclusive update.

Taylor Vince is known for a wide variety of projects including, Constantine (Father Hennessey), The Walking Dead (Otis), Stranger Things (Ray Carroll), and many more. Needless to say, the actor is well-versed in the film industry and is more than qualified to bring Pa Kent to life.

His iteration of Superman’s adoptive father comes after Kevin Costner perfectly played the role in Man of Steel. Since fans loved Costner as the character, the bar is set quite high and Taylor Vince sure has a lot to prove.
