Thor Odinson, the God of Thunder has been quite a remarkable name in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The character played by Chris Hemsworth has had a long journey till now, starting from the first movie in the franchise Thor (2011) through appearing in installments of the Avengers franchise till what appears to be the last film of the Thor movies, Thor: Love and Thunder (2022).
The release of Thor: Love and Thunder appear to be the end of the Thor franchise as the story came around to an end, giving no opportunity for a fifth Thor film. However, artist Albin George has taken the liberty of designing a fan art poster of Thor 5, starring the popular star Chris Hemsworth reprising his role which features a dark Thor.
What the new Thor 5 could be about?
The discussion on Thor has seem to start again after a certain artist showcased his skills in preparing fan art for Thor 5, namely Thor: Tales of Midgard. It features Chris Hemsworth with a grim expression, wielding his weapon, Stormbreaker. The fan art does a remarkable job highlighting the darkness of the Norse God that we could see in Avengers: Infinity War.
As it depicts, the possibility of the sequel to the Thor franchise could bring out the grim and savage personality of Thor, which as many believe, would fare better than the comedic persona of him depicted in Thor: Love and Thunder. While the plot did a good job of completing the chapter about the lone God as well as reuniting him with his human lover, Jane Foster, the movie on its own did not live up to the hype the fans created.
Fans’ reaction to the fan art
The depiction of Thor in Avengers: Infinity War, while aggressive, was one much loved by fans. His anger fuelled by grief highlighted the ruthlessness of the character. Meanwhile, his character in Thor: Love and Thunder as a comedic God of Thunder did not satisfy the fan’s expectations of the franchise.
This shoulda been the thor we got. He has a kid going forward unless she’s going to die I doubt he turns into that again

This is what Marvel should to. Have a variety of tones that fit each character. Thor should be more serious I feel, and other characters can be more light hearted like obviously Spider-Man

To be honest I totally agree with you we need serious Thor not a comedy 👈 and also we need a new director for the next Thor movie 🙏 it's just can't be Taika Waititi but I really appreciate it what he did but I think we want somebody else direct next Thor movie pic.twitter.com/eoZtx0CnHv

Rumor has it that taika is leaving the Thor franchise for good.
Ragnarok was acceptable but Love and Thunder made me think that Taika isn't good for Marvel. That too for a God's movie.

We need more lore. The comedic relief has to be strategically placed , not every 3 lines

May it be another sequel to the franchise or an appearance in the next phase of MCU, it is no surprise that the fans are hopeful to see a glimpse of the dark Thor once again.
Thor: Love and Thunder is available on Disney+.
