Zack Snyder’s cryptic posts have come as a ray of hope for DC fans about a possible reunion of Justice League. One of his recent posts seems to hint at a possible theatrical release for his 2021 DC film. The 2017 film, which completed its production under the guidance of the Avengers director Joss Whedon, turned out to be a disappointment for the fans. Four years after its release, Zack Snyder released his cut in 2021 on HBO Max.
The film received a much better response than the 2017 film Justice League. Fans were also expecting to see the superhero team get back together for a sequel. And with the Man of Steel director’s recent cryptic posts related to the DCEU and Justice League, fans are hoping for the best.
Justice League Could Get its Theatrical Release
Zack Snyder’s Justice League never had a theatrical release. Followed by the huge failure of the 2017 action-adventure film, the studio released the Snyder cut on HBO Max. However, seems like two years after its original release, the director is planning a theatrical release for his 2021 DC film. Zack Snyder wished fans a “Happy JL Anniversary” on Vero.
The image in the post has an acronym for his DC films with dates displayed below them from April 28 to April 30. The acronym for Justice League is followed by IMAX, which has led many to believe that the 2021 film, which was released on HBO Max, will finally have its theatrical release at IMAX.
Snyder had reportedly planned a trilogy for Justice League. However, followed by the 2017 film’s failure at the box office and with critics and fans, the studio scrapped these plans.
While fans were hoping to see the Dawn of Justice director coming back with a sequel, it never happened, and eventually, James Gunn took over as the co-CEO of the DC Studios. However, followed by the Army of the Dead director’s recent posts, fans are expecting to finally get the sequel to the 2017 film.
Fans Expecting the Return of Zack Snyder’s Trinity
As Zack Snyder shared a series of pictures of the Justice League stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, and Gal Gadot, fans started speculating things for a better future for Snyderverse. And they have been expecting the return of Snyder’s Trinity in a sequel and threequel to the 2021 action-adventure film.
