With the release of the first looks of the main characters of the film by Gyllenhaal on her Instagram, the fans are in awe of the look. A couple of months ago, fans seemed doubtful about having a remake of the 1935 classic, but Bale has set a new standard with this one. Decked out in prosthetics and makeup, The Machinist actor has managed to capture the grotesque essence of Frankenstein’s Monster.

Buckley’s bride’s first look is also quite frightening. The haunting images are sure to linger in the minds of viewers. This is Gyllenhaal’s second directing endeavor. Her debut with the 2021 film The Lost Daughter was widely acclaimed and won three Oscar nominations. Great things are expected from this one as well.

Set in 1930s Chicago, The Bride is Maggie Gyllenhaal’s take on the iconic literary character. The revival of the murdered young woman leads to the beginning of a radical social movement. Suffice it to say, things go intriguingly differently in this one.
