Even since GTA 6’s first trailer dropped, the world has been cheering, breaking, and drooling over it and re-watching it. The trailer has now crossed 170 million views, and it is one of the most-watched trailers on YouTube at the moment. However, some fans have touched new horizons in an attempt to recreate the video in their own context.
One big fan seems to be the social media and creative team at Hyundai Motorsport, who have managed to re-create the trailer with an accurate amount of details and callbacks. Everything, frame-by-frame, shows off Hyundai Motorsport’s spirit, with the GTA 6 twist, of course.
Move aside Rockstar Games, it’s time for Grand Test Auto XXIV to shine
Hilariously titled ‘Grand Test Auto XXIV’, the marketing team at Hyundai Motorsport recently uploaded a video on YouTube showcasing what seems to be a faithful parody of the GTA 6 trailer. From the beginning to the end of the video, you can spot neat car tricks, enthusiastic racers, day-to-day shenanigans, and everything else that gives the rally team an exciting shine.
In fact, the folks behind this video even made it a point to include some of the victory moments from previous real-life racetrack scenes and re-enacted dances, conversations, and team-bonding moments that resemble the GTA 6 trailer in any and every way possible.
The re-enacted trailer has been going viral, hitting 650k views already. The comments section is filled with wholesome and supportive comments, including some that pinpoint the accurate comparisons and praise Hyundai’s team for being so creative with the video. One such comment from user @_Devil expresses this well:
I died at them coming out with powerdrills in their hands. You killed it, Mr or Mrs social media manager!
People are also considering this to be the best way of promoting and marketing one’s business. It seems like the team at Hyundai Motorsport knew exactly what they were doing (and, who they were doing it with).
GTA 6’s hype has certainly boosted the community’s creativity
After the trailer dropped, there was a brief period in time when the community was still taking its time to process any information regarding the game. After all, people have been waiting for an official word about the next Grand Theft Auto from Rockstar for over a decade now. Like Hyundai, many sharp minds with a sense of humor re-created the trailer in their own ways.
From GTA 5 adaptions of the trailer to a LEGO remake of the trailer; there are all kinds of creative ideas pouring over the internet, making the hype even more exciting. It’s not just limited to trailers though. We’ve got fan theories, art, cosplays, and everything in between. GTA 6’s subreddit is particularly famous for this.
These faithfully accurate adaptations of the trailer may have taken hours’ worth of time and effort, and it’s evident how excited people are for the game to finally arrive. However, there’s still time for that (almost a year!) and until then, we’re likely to see more such creative ideas draw the attention of thousands online.
