2024 is setting out to be a busy year for Zendaya, which will witness her starring in not one but two major features that will be released a month apart from each other. Fans Speculate as Reason Behind Zendaya’s Social Media Cleansing Remains Unknown

Considering Tom Holland and Zendaya have opted to keep their private lives away from the public eye, her decision to hit the reset button on Instagram has reasonably had fans started. While it’s pretty likely that it might be a business decision and a way to garner buzz for her forthcoming film this year, nothing can be said for certain. And the absence of any clear answer has pushed fans to speculate, with some fans assuming things might’ve gone south between the two, leading to breakup rumors circulating over the web.

Zendaya Once Explained Why She Limited Her Social Media Presence

While the social media cleansing has reasonably raised some eyebrows, following Zendaya’s past comments on her online presence, her decision to bring things back to basic does make some sense. Even before unfollowing everyone, Zendaya’s presence on Instagram was pretty minuscule, as she scaled back from posting regularly a few years ago. Speaking with InStyle, the actor explained her reasoning behind it, stating she gets “too overwhelmed with having to post things”.

I get too overwhelmed with having to post things, and if I think too much about it, I’m not gonna do it. It’s not worth it… I’d rather do what I love and then post when I have a project to promote.”

As of now, it remains up for speculation what might be the real reason behind her decision to unfollow everyone, including her beau. But considering she priorly scaled back from posting frequently in order to combat her anxiety over posting photos, this might be her way of dealing with her issues when it comes to social media.
