This led to gamers taking matters into their own hands and bringing an emulator that could finally run Bloodborne right on their PCs. However, it isn’t just the FromSoftware title; modders are even bringing the much anticipated Red Dead Redemption port before Sony makes an official move.

The brand-new PlayStation 4 emulator ShadePS4 has been making waves in the gaming community in recent months. It has made tremendous progress running popular games such as Resident Evil: Origins Collection, Persona 5, and Bloodborne. The community is supporting these games with additional mods, proving that they’re tired of Sony’s behavior.

The emulator is advancing rapidly with its latest achievement of running the first Red Dead Redemption game. Modders have been bringing various fixes and patches to make the version as stable as possible, and they’ve finally fixed the skybox issues that were plaguing the early builds.

Even though Sony is clearly working on bringing an official port for Red Dead Redemption, the gaming community is tired of waiting. Seriously, it’s been more than a decade, and the company is still bent upon gatekeeping one of the most legendary games we’ve ever seen. Even Microsoft isn’t afraid of bringing its best games to experience on PC.

However, despite the community’s efforts with ShadePS4, the emulator still has a long way to go. The current version of the emulator still faces major audio and visual issues, with the game crashing on various points out of nowhere. Let’s hope that with the upcoming updates, these issues will be squashed and that we finally get to experience Red Dead Redemption in its full glory.

Sony Might Be Working on Backward Compatibility For PS5

Even though Sony‘s commitment towards game portability to PCs has been quite controversial, the company is trying its best to improve backward compatibility on its PlayStation 5 console. The system has been constantly under criticism by gamers for being lackluster when it comes to running previous-generation games.

While PlayStation owners still can’t run their PS1 and PS2 discs on PS5 anytime soon, they might soon have the ability to enjoy PS3 games on modern PlayStation consoles without having to stream them.

This rumor comes from the reputable insider Shpeshal_Nick, who states that Sony is working to make PS3 games run natively on PS5. However, only a select few games would be able to run, which means the company will handpick only certain titles and not the entire catalog as many had hoped for.

There are an incredible number of PlayStation 3 exclusives that are still trapped on the decade-old console, like Killzone 2, Metal Gear Solid, and inFAMOUS. Being able to experience these in their full glory on PS5 would truly be a dream come true for many PlayStation gamers.

With that said, which game do you think Sony needs to work on delivering a PC port for? Let us know in the comments.
