The sword-fighting style choreographed by Tite Kubo has been praised often by critics and fans. However, there is this one character who is being compared with the prophecy of Tite Kubo, and that is Masashi Kishimoto’s creation and one of the most famous characters from Naruto, Sasuke Uchiha.

Tite Kubo, the mangaka of Bleach, has received both praise and criticism for the way he depicted the sword-fighting sequences in his story. While the action scenes in Bleach are often admired for their dynamic art and Kubo’s choreography, there are some arguments that these sequences are straight and lack engagement, which eventually makes Sasuke outshine Ichigo.

Masashi Kishimoto’s art style has won over the Tite Kibo in sword-fighting sequences

When it comes to swinging a sword with engaging choreography, Sasuke is a better swordsman than Ichigo. People are spinning comments on the simple style of choreography done by Tite Kubo. And they think Masashi Kishimoto has done a better job in terms of drawing the sword-fighting sequences, which is what makes Sasuke a better swordsman than Ichigo.

Despite the comparison, the outcome is quite one-sided here. The fight between Sasuke and Momoshiki is being drawn up as a reference to establish that Masashi Kishimoto has made Sasuke a better swordfighter than Ichigo. Sasuke’s footwork is compared with Ichigo’s skills. Sasuke is flashy and engaging with a sword while Ichigo rarely has any of those dynamic moves with a sword. This allows Sasuke to be a better swordfighter than Ichigo, which presumably makes Masashi Kishimoto better than Tite Kubo.

That’s not the only case, swordfights in Bleach are good for the first 10 minutes and they transform later into something else, losing the essence of a true swordfight. This not only acts as a drawback with respect to swordfights, but also in terms of engagement of an action sequence. This is completely different with Naruto.

In the action sequences in Naruto, especially, in terms of swordfights, Kishimoto has shown more realistic elements in his story. If swordfighting is being compared, then Ichigo is not the hero here.

No matter what, the Tite Kubo is losing this one to Kishimoto. The art style chosen by Kishimoto makes the sword-fighting sequences more exciting and engaging. No matter how much stress on the storyline gets put by Tite Kubo, Kishimoto will remain ahead of it. The difference is that when Ichigo swings his sword, it becomes less shining and faster than Sasuke’s.

In this particular aspect of choreography, credit goes to Masashi Kishimoto in terms of giving not only swords to his characters, but also skills, footwork, and engaging fights. Sasuke won here, as Kishimoto put some engaging style in terms of swordfight in his story. This makes him outdo the work of Kubo. The way Sasuke is seen fighting in both the manga and the series, is evidence of why he is superior to Ichigo in swordfights.
