Mike Tyson Called Out Hulu For Stealing His Life Story

In 2022 Hulu released an unauthorized take on the legendary boxer Mike Tyson’s life in an eight-episode miniseries, Mike. Created by Steven Rogers and starring Trevante Rhodes in the title character, the miniseries premiered on Hulu on August 25, 2022, and received mixed reviews.

Hulu Offered Millions to Dana White to Promote the Miniseries

While Mike Tyson claimed that Hulu did not offer or pay him anything for the miniseries, he shared that the streaming platform offered millions to Dana White to promote it. He said, “Hulu tried to desperately pay my brother Dana White millions without offering me a dollar to promote their slave master take-over story about my life.”

Tyson further shared that White declined the offer as he “honors friendship and treating people with dignity.” Tyson shared that he’ll never forget what the UFC President did for him. One of the executive producers, Karin Gist, defended the miniseries.

She said, “The show is not meant to glorify his life.” She claimed that they were never trying to portray Tyson as a hero or a villain and said that they only wanted to represent the story of “a very complicated and controversial figure.”
