Pokemon Go is a title that made waves when it first came out. Every Pokemon fan was excited because the game combined the thrill of catching Pokemon with Virtual Reality, which was novel then.
Recently, the game has been subjected to criticism from fans. This seems to continue, as a player on the game’s subreddit posted about not getting any substantial rewards.

Pokemon Go was a title that was released almost eight years ago. The game quickly found its audience in the people who loved Ash Ketchum’s adventures in the anime and the Pokémon Pocket Monsters manga.
The game also encourages people to go out of their houses and get rid of their sedentary lifestyles by incentivising physical activity. That is one of the reasons why the game became so popular among fans.
Fans of the game were recently agitated because a game update completely altered their player avatar. Some even called the new player avatar models ‘something made in Ark Survival Evolved.’
This time, the complaint concerns the drop rate of various Pokemon when one hatches eggs in the game, which are obtainable through PokeStops and Gyms. A player posted the following on the game’s subreddit:
Other complaints regarding mechanics surrounding eggs in the game have popped up frequently on the subreddit:
Every other player seems to be facing this problem.
Players seem frustrated because randomly hatching eggs in the game is the only way to obtain more Pokemon, as the game lacks any breeding system like Pokemon Sword and Shield.

Whenever randomized rewards are offered to players after they grind a game with their heart and soul, getting mediocre rewards is a pain. This has been an issue for games like Naraka: Bladepoint, too.
Fellow members initially told OP of the subreddit that it was probably because the eggs they were hatching were from a time when only Togepi was available. But after OP denied, some alleged that a Random Number Generator (RNG) was at play under the hood:
A Random Number Generator provides randomized rewards to players with live-service titles. While it is unclear if such a mechanic is working under the hood for Pokemon Go, players seem unhappy with how the game pans out.
