The Flash would be the most important movie in the DCU because it will reset the franchise, initiating James Gunn’s universe. Moreover, in the first standalone movie, the speedster would be going on a multiversal adventure, meeting alternate versions of heroes and villains. In addition to the actor’s comments, the same sources tell that the Top Gun actor had a meeting with David Zaslav, the CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery to ask if he can watch the movie. The CEO agreed to the actor’s request and sent a copy of the movie to Cruise’s home in Beverly Hills.

But an insider told how this was not a casual delivery because the messenger who delivered the film to Tom Cruise stayed until he finished watching the movie. After the actor was done, he returned the movie to the messenger who returned it to the studio.

Ezra Miller as The Flash

“Ezra is completely committed to their recovery. We are fully supportive of that journey they are on right now. When the time is right, when they are ready to have that discussion, we will all figure out what’s the best path forward. But right now, they are completely focused on their recovery. And in our conversation with them, in the last couple of months, it feels like they are making enormous progress.”

When James Gunn showed his faith in The Flash, fans felt that his words were empty. However, the movie looks quite interesting after the trailer was released and fans saw some familiar faces in the DCU while pointing out some easter eggs.
