In the opening scenes of the 2001 movie, Tom Cruise was seen driving a Ferrari 250 GTO. The car is worth $70 million and is one of the rarest cars ever produced. As per the reports, there were only 36 Ferrari 250 GTOs ever produced and Cruise had the opportunity to drive one of them in Vanilla Sky. The sporty car boasted a 3.0-liter V12 engine with 300 horsepower to its hull.

The actor loves doing his own stunts, and cannot help but smile at the adrenaline rush he feels. From driving expensive cars at high speed to swinging from the Burj Khalifa, the actor has done it all but when he’s exhilarated, Tom Cruise accidentally smiles. In an interview on The Graham Norton Show (via Daily Mail), here’s what the actor had to say about his stunts.
“I am a very physical actor and I love doing them. I study and train and take a lot of time figuring it all out. I have broken a lot of bones. The first time of any stunt is nerve-wracking, but it’s also exhilarating. I have been told a few times during shooting a stunt to stop smiling.”
The actor was recently seen performing a motorcycle jump from a ramp on the end of a cliff in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. The film is currently screening in select theaters across the U.S.
