Tom Hiddleston, who continued to live through his time variant in the Disney+ series Loki (2021), has come a long way with his God of Mischief character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The 42-year-old actor, who started with a relatively smaller paycheck for his first role as Loki in 2011’s Thor, received a whopping 80x increase during Avengers films. Surpassing the identity of Thor’s mischievous adopted brother, Hiddleston’s Loki continues to play in the seven-figure territory.

Tom Hiddleston’s Original Loki Is Gone, But His Time-Variant Is Worth Millions

Top-notch actor, Tom Hiddleston, who allegedly entered the MCU using 12-time Grammy-winning Taylor Swift’s fame, has now become a household name. Hiddleston’s Marvel character, Loki, broke records with the 2021  series Loki, becoming the most-watched Disney+ series premiere.

In an incredible journey, starting with 2011’s Loki, to reprise the role in over four Marvel films, Hiddleston’s paychecks have continued to grow. For Chris Hemsworth‘s Thor (2011), Hiddleston reportedly received $160,000. For 2012’s The Avengers, the God of Mischief scored a $800,000 cheque.

In 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War, Tom Hiddleston hit the seven-figure territory, earning a whopping $8 million, an incredible 50 times what he earned for his first appearance as Loki, known for creating, duplicating, and faking his death. He received a similar paycheck (if not more) for his “time-variant” in Avengers: Endgame (2019).

The Kong: Skull Island star, who has now become a new internet faction’s top choice for the iconic 007 role in the $14.8 billion franchise race, also starred in and executive-produced the AMC limited series The Night Manager, reportedly playing in seven figures. What’s more noteworthy is that he received two Prime Time Emmy nominations, and took home his first Golden Globe Award for this series.

Tom Hiddleston’s Insane Paycheck For Loki (2021)

In Avengers: Endgame (2019), when the superheroes travel back in time to gather the infinity stones after Thanos had destroyed them, a “time-variant” of Loki escapes into the plot of the God of Mischief’s standalone Disney+ series, Loki (2021), a move which benefited the actor both, financially and professionally.

During his time on the Disney+ series, Tom Hiddleston’s net worth was reported to be a whopping $25 million, which makes it fair to suggest that his mischievous paychecks witnessed an 80x hike. But again, for Hiddleston, Loki’s character is much more than money. In an interview, he expressed:

“Rather than ownership, it’s a sense of responsibility I feel to give my best every time and do the best I can because I feel so grateful to be a part of what Marvel Studios has created.

I just want to make sure I’ve honored that responsibility with the best that I can give and the most care and thought and energy.”

While his exact salary from Loki remains unknown, one thing is sure, the actor is dedicated to “exploring the parts of Loki that are independent of his relationship with Thor,” since his disappearance from Thor: Love and Thunder (2022).

Loki (2021) is streaming on Disney+.
