The actor who portrayed the former God of Mischief recently became the most powerful entity in the MCU by transforming into God of Stories. All this took place after he appeared to have finally met his death at the end of Avengers: Infinity War.

It was a shock and surprise for many Marvel fans when Loki came back from the dead. While the actor appears to have finally said goodbye to the role after 14 years, his legacy as Loki lives on, a character who cheated ‘death’ several times. However, Hiddleston’s Loki is not the only Marvel character who returned after their death.

1. Thanos

A no-brainer, MCU’s one of the deadliest villains Thanos played the main antagonist in Infinity War and Endgame. After having wiped half of the universe he retired to Planet 0259-S. However, this version was killed by Thor and the Avengers at the start of Endgame. But after the Avengers gamble with time travel, the past version of the same Thanos returns at the end of Endgame, only to be defeated by Iron Man.

2. Gamora

The Deadliest Woman in the Galaxy in the MCU, Gamora dies at the hands of her adoptive father, Thanos, on planet Vormir, who sacrifices her to get the Soul stone. However, much like her adoptive father, she returns as her past version along with the Thanos of the past at the end of Endgame, essentially becoming MCU’s new version. Extremely different than her ‘past’ version, she was last seen in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

3. Vision

After getting killed by the Scarlet Witch in Infinity War, Vision was resurrected by Thanos only to be killed again by the Mad Titan for his Mind Stone. While many thought that was the end for him in the MCU, he was resurrected by Wanda as a part of her subconscious in Westview.

However, at the same time, using his original body, SWORD recreates Vision as White Vision who is then ordered to eliminate the Scarlet Witch. But as the Westview Vision fights the White Vision, the Westview one starts to vanish but only having restored White Vision’s complete memory.

4. Maria Rambeau

The mother of Monica Rambeau, Maria Rambeau died during the blip from cancer. The character later appeared as the superhero Captain Marvel in Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness, only to be killed brutally by Wanda. As per the end credit scenes of The Marvels, Maria Rambeau is back yet again as another variant of her but this time as the superhero Binary.

5. Peggy Carter

Peggy Carter was first seen in Marvel’s Captain America: The First Avenger but later died in Captain America and the Winter Soldier of old age. But much like her What If…? character, the actress re-appeared in the MCU movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness as a variant of Captain America and a part of the Illuminati. However, she was later killed off by the Scarlet Witch.

6. Groot

Everyone’s favorite Guardian of the Galaxy, Groot died saving his companions at the end of the first Guardians of the Galaxy. His body is destroyed as he sacrifices himself to protect his friends after Ronan’s ship crashes. However, a twig from his body is later planted by Rocket, leading to him growing back into Baby Groot and later as Alpha Groot, after having passed his adolescent years.
