Spider-Man: No Way Home ended on a pivotal climax with Doctor Strange repairing the rift in the multiverse before a flood of villains from other universes rushed into the MCU. The story also pulled at every Marvel fan’s heartstrings with Peter Parker’s existence being forgotten by the entire world including his best friend Ned and girlfriend MJ. All these events led to Kevin Feige signalling a 4th Spider-Man film.
However, the stupendous $1.9 billion success of Spiderman: No Way Home is bound to put a lot of pressure on Feige and Marvel to live up to the hype and deliver another outright winner. For this, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will most likely need support from a few Marvel bigwigs whose presence can go a long way to create box office glory once more. A few of these prominent characters in particular, could ensure another billion dollar pay day.
These Three Marvel Characters Could take Spider-Man 4 To Great Heights
1. Daredevil
The most obvious Marvel icon who comes to mind to further Spider-Man’s story in the 4th installment, is undoubtedly Daredevil. It is common knowledge that the two superheroes go back a long way in the comic book world with their first meeting taking place in 1964’s Amazing Spider-Man #16. Over multiple narratives, Daredevil and Spider-Man have grown as friends and crime-fighting allies who also share a mutual respect for each other.
Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock has already laid the foundation for a possible future collaboration with the webbed hero by appearing in a cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home. With an firmly established history with Peter Parker from the written word to the big screen, Daredevil could be the perfect wingman for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man to outwit his enemies.

2. Kingpin
Every dynamic superhero needs an even more formidable villain to test his prowess and make his victory even sweeter. With Daredevil potentially in the mix for Spider-Man 4, it is only fitting that his arch-nemesis Kingpin makes an appearance to torment him and Spider-Man. Marvel’s most intimidating mafia crime lord was perfectly reprised by Vincent D’Onofrio in the Disney+ series Hawkeye, after first featuring in the 2015 Daredevil series.
Following speculations that Marvel will explore a more grounded narrative with the street level themes involving Daredevil and Spider-Man, Kingpin’s inclusion to create mass chaos seems to be the perfect way to ensure that the film will become a blockbuster. With or without Daredevil though, the mafia king’s towering persona could make Spider-Man 4 laugh all the way to the box office.

3. Deadpool
If Peter Parker wishes for a dash of irreverence, sarcastic wit, and foul-mouthed humor to help him conquer his enemies, then Deadpool fits the bill perfectly. Interestingly, the character is known to have a big crush on Spider-Man in the comic book world. In the 4th volume of the Spider-Man/ Deadpool series titled Serious Business, Wade Wilson’s infidelity manual reveals that Spider-Man is number 5 on the list of people he can cheat on with his wife.
In addition, Ryan Reynolds himself has made hilarious references to his character’s soft spot for Spider-Man. With rumors about Tom Holland possibly making an appearance in Deadpool 3, the possibility of Reynolds’ Wade Wilson teaming up with Spider-Man in the 4th film, could sent it straight to box office heaven. It now remains to be seen if Marvel can make the radical shift of tackling the R-rated superhero in a family-friendly film.
