Dwayne Johnson has accomplished a lot in his career, both during his wrestling days and at present in the film industry. But more than that, his inherently unflinching tenacity, coupled with his persistent toils at becoming a better version of himself, is what stands as the hallmarks of his true being. And the same has served as an inspiration to innumerable people with even some of the most successful Hollywood actors looking up to The Rock, one of whom, happens to be Tom Holland.

Popular for portraying Marvel’s web-slinger Spider-Man, Holland reached the height of international fame after starring in numerous blockbuster films, including 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home which grossed $1.9 billion globally. Courtesy of his MCU breakthrough, the English actor is, at present, sitting on a giant fortune of roughly $25 million.

In a GQ profile, Holland expressed his reverence toward the Black Adam star as he remarked how The Rock motivated him to be “the hardest-working person in the room.”

The Rock is someone I’ve always looked up to. His whole thing is: Be the hardest-working person in the room. It’s something that I’ve really taken to heart. And when I heard him say that for the first time, I was like, ‘That is a really good saying.'”

Lucky for the Uncharted star, his idol happens to share the same sentiment.

When The Rock found out that he motivated and inspired Holland to work harder, the Central Intelligence star in turn responded with a string of appreciation for the latter, claiming how the 26-year-old has managed to “navigate” his global stardom “brilliantly and elegantly.”

“Look forward to working with him one day”, the Hobbs & Shaw actor said. “Thanks big man. Let’s find something,” Holland replied.

Marvel and DC’s rivalry is a tale as old as time and the stakes are deadly high, now more than ever, with both studios hell-bent on beating each other. So, while both Johnson and Holland have brushed upon the prospect of collaborating on a project, it might just be a tad bit difficult given how they’re both a part of two of the biggest competitors in the film industry. But that doesn’t mean they can’t join forces outside of the comic book circuit.

There were even rumors that Holland wanted The Rock to star in Uncharted 2 should the sequel get the green light. So, who knows, maybe the MCU and DCU stars might just end up sharing the screen someday soon after all.
