According to an insider, Jada Pinkett Smith is actively searching for a new A-list romantic partner. In the midst of that, she sees the Mission: Impossible star as the ideal candidate. Even Cruise is also looking for a “new leading lady.” So, it’s clear for both to initiate a new relationship. The tipster told the National Enquirer (via Yahoo):

“Jada has always raved about Tom being a true genius as well as one of the finest looking men she ever laid eyes on.”

The insider also noted that “They have a really strong bond.” As per the source, both the stars have remained in touch ever since they worked in the action movie Collateral, “But the timing’s never been right for romance.”

“But now that she and Will’s split is out in the open and Tom’s looking for a new leading lady, it makes a lot of sense,” the source added.

In her memoir Worthy, Jada Pinkett Smith spoke highly of Tom Cruise and how he helped overcome her fears during the making of the 2004 action movie. She’s also been curious about Scientology, a faith that Cruise follows.

“Surprisingly single Tom needs to find someone who’s supportive of his religion and not intimidated by his success — and Jada totally fits the bill,” the insider mentioned.

The source added that both Pinkett Smith and Cruise share a lot of the same interests, like “They’re both huge adrenaline junkies who love driving fast cars and motorcycles and skydiving.” According to that source, “Tom is one of the few people who understand how she has to live her life because of her fame.”
