Sizzling hot news right out of the oven is that Emmy-winning actor Pedro Pascal is likely to be the new face of Mister Fantastic in Marvel’s Fantastic Four, per sources. Although, his tight schedule might be a factor of worry. Hence, fans are hopeful to see him lead the pack. However, we won’t be spotlighting the actor’s indulgence with the MCU for now, given he has plenty of it all year round. The next big thing is Javier Bardem for Galactus.
The Spanish actor is expected to don the character of the cosmic antagonist of Marvel Comics, Galan or The Devourer of Worlds. But then again, the only downside of signing an Oscar-winning actor is he is always in demand! Precisely, due to Apple’s Brad Pitt-starrer F1 film. Hence, Javier Bardem’s packed calendar is seemingly a hurdle for Marvel. In any case, a list of the top 5 alternate actors fit for Galactus shall be a relief whether or not Javier Bardem can make it.
Ciarán Hinds
Speaking of the The Devourer of Worlds, he is one of the crucial villains of the Marvel Universe. For an ancient villain willing to erase the entire MCU, Irish actor, Ciaran Hinds could be a good fit. The Belfast actor’s 6’1 stature, along with his work in Marvel’s superhero horror, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance might not come off as a surprise if he’s chosen for the gory character.
Ralph Fiennes
It goes without saying Ralph Fiennes is a certain ideal for Galactus. The English actor and producer had already been the greatest villain as Lord Voldemort of the billion-dollar franchise, Harry Potter. It’s only evident Fiennes shall bring more finesse to the character.
Hugo Weaving
The 63-year-old British actor is synonymous with villainous roles. From the masked anarchist terrorist in 2005’s V for Vendetta to the ultimate nemesis, Megatron in the Transformers franchise. However, his most notable work as Agent Smith in the The Matrix series has vaulted him to the top of the sci-fi villains list of this generation.
Mads Mikkelsen
The 57-year-old former gymnast’s comparatively softer and pleasant looks might not do a good job for a ghastly villain who eats worlds. As long as it’s largely a voice, similar to the likes of Josh Brolin’s Thanos, Mads Mikkelsen would do fine. Additionally, there’s been much applause for his villainy in the film industry. He aced the character of Kaecilius in 2016’s Doctor Strange, although playing Hannibal Lecter in Hannibal suggests the Danish actor would make an impressive Galan.
Giancarlo Esposito
While his name seems fit for playing Galactus, it is doubtful whether he shall outperform the aforementioned actors’ villainy. No offense, Giancarlo Esposito is more synonymous with human-like villains. From Gustavo Fring in Breaking Bad to Lex Luthor in Harley Quinn, Esposito certainly has our attention. Nonetheless, whether he shall make a perfect unearthly humanoid, we will have to wait and see. Regardless, MCU fans aren’t unfamiliar with surprises.
