When it comes to horror games on Roblox, Murder Mystery 2 isn’t incredibly high on the list, as it doesn’t rely on the usual horror tropes that many fans would expect. Usually in horror games, there is some kind of monster, ghost, or serial killer who is hunting down the helpless innocents.
In Murder Mystery 2, there is definitely a killer, but sadly, they aren’t anything supernatural or unique, as they are just there to kill the innocents. Throughout Murder Mystery 2, there are three different characters you can end up being: an innocent, a murderer, or a sheriff.
As the murderer, your job is to kill as many of the players as you can; usually within a game, there are 12 players, including the killer. If you end up becoming the sheriff, your job is to protect the innocent. This can lead to a lot of pressure, as no one is safe and no one is above suspicion.
Even though this isn’t classified as traditional horror, there can be moments that will easily shock a player if they aren’t prepared to be killed or if they notice something they weren’t supposed to.
4. Finders Keepers
If you’re looking for a more traditional horror game on Roblox, then look no further than Finders Keepers, as this game takes a bit more inspiration from games like PT to scare its players. As always with games like this, it requires a lot of patience from players, as there is a lot to see and a lot you don’t want to see.
The main story of Finders Keepers is that you are playing as a paranormal investigator who has been tasked with entering a house and finding out where the family who owns it has disappeared to.
As you explore the house, you will notice that things aren’t as they should be. You will have to explore dark rooms, avoid a demonic entity that will hunt you down, and discover hidden discs that will help uncover the house’s secrets.
Throughout the story, there will be countless moments in the game that will have the player scared to their wits. This is due to the wonderful sound effects that fill the world they will explore while also experiencing the jump scares that plague the halls of this house.
3. Piggy
It won’t come as a shock to many when I say that Roblox is a game mainly liked by kids, but when it comes to horror games, Roblox is definitely not one they will want to play. This next game takes its inspiration from the kids show Peppa Pig but adds a horror twist that will scare kids for years.
Similar to Murder Mystery 2, Piggy allows numerous players to join in and attempt to survive a round against the horror versions of the Peppa Pig cast. Once players vote on a location and game mode, they are thrown into the game, in which they have to avoid traps, outwit, and survive against Piggy.
If the idea of a terrifying Peppa Pig coming to kill you doesn’t scare you away, then there is also Piggy: Book 2, which is available on Roblox as well. This game is a sequel to the original game, but it adds a lot of new features and even an overarching story that can be explored.
There are even plans for more content for Piggy: Book 2 to release later on down the line, as the game has now concluded its third season and will most likely be coming back for a fourth.

And The Mimic does this very well, as it tasks the player with adventuring to their high school in search of some lost friends.
On top of a scary plot, there are also amazing visual effects that can spook even horror veterans, as they look so real and appear without warning. Thanks to these effects, The Mimic has become one of the most popular horror games on Roblox, as there are over four chapters for players to play through.

So far, many horror games on Roblox are quite small and will only be appreciated by a select few, but there is one game that rises above the rest, and that is Dead Silence. This game is one of the most popular horror games on Roblox, as it even claims this in its own description.
Dead Silence has received its inspiration from the 2007 film of the same name, as the player is tasked with investigating the death of Mary Shaw, who is reported to be haunting a local town. What adds to the horror isn’t just the haunting, but the fact that Mary Shaw used to be a ventriloquist.
The reason this game is so popular is because of the amazing atmosphere and detail that has gone into the game, which manages to put fear into a player even when they just walk down a dimly lit corridor. As the player tries to solve this mystery, they will constantly be worried that they may see a doll walking around or a ghost lady haunting them, which constantly adds to the fear.
