Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch has had quite a roller coaster journey so far into the MCU timeline. She started her journey from being an orphan to becoming a weapon with the help of Mind Stone, to becoming a part of Earth’s mightiest heroes, the Avengers to finally becoming a force of nature to be trifled with as she turns dark side after she lost Vision to Thanos. As she has a very large fan base, the fans expect a Scarlet Witch solo movie. While nothing has been announced by Marvel Studios about this matter, there are rumors going around that her movie has been stuck in production since 2021.

Scarlet Witch Solo Movie Stuck in Production?

Rumors about Scarlet Witch’s solo movie have been milling around since 2021, as it is stuck in a big line of upcoming projects. Though Marvel Studios has not officially announced any information about this situation, there are possibilities that Scarlet Witch might get a solo movie after Phase 6. Phase 7 is more likely a suitable situation to continue her story because her story’s origin is simply a story that they can show in a movie. And it is very less likely that before Secret Wars MCU would want to dive into that.

While she will have screen time on the show Agatha: Coven of Chaos, she will play a very important role in its story and will return in Avengers: Secret Wars which marks the end of Phase 6. It is possible that in her solo movie, she can be seen redeeming herself back from all the chaos and destruction she caused across the multiverse.

Wanda Maximoff’s Journey So Far

Wanda Maximoff has had quite a tiresome journey in the Marvel universe starting from losing everything to having a family she can rely on to again losing them after the great cataclysm. After she lost her parents due to Tony Stark’s weaponry she and her brother, Pietro also called “the twins” were given powers when the two underwent experiments from the Mind Stone that was in Loki’s scepter. However, teaming up with Ultron only resulted in losing her brother and her becoming an Avenger.

However, recently after these events, while on a mission her power got out of control and people got hurt which triggered the Slokovia accords, despite her affection for Vision she teamed up with Captain America to fight against Iron Man. In Infinity War, when Thanos invaded Earth to take the mind stone from Vision, Wanda had to destroy the Mind Stone along with Vision only to be brought back and killed again by the Time Stone which was in Thanos’s possession.

Wanda was blipped for 5 years and came back only after the Avengers used the stones again. After a gruesome battle with Thanos and his army, the Titan had been defeated but it was not free, many who fought alongside the Avengers lost their lives. And it was after this that Wanda turns dark side as she forced a whole town to live under her powers and later had to be stopped by Dr. Strange before ripping apart the multiverse.
