The end of an era is upon us. Wall Street Journal reports that Netflix is officially cracking down on password sharing for Netflix accounts starting in 2023. This comes after tests done by Netflix in Latin American countries earlier this year. It is unclear how exactly Netflix will enforce this new ban, as Netflix has been less-than-forthcoming about these developments. This decision is projected to affect over 100 million people.

Barack Obama Shares Favorite Movie List

While Barack Obama will forever be remembered for being the 44th President of the United States, he has quickly become a superstar producer in Hollywood, working on projects like Adam Conover’s The G Word, among others. Every year he releases his list of favorites for the year, and this week saw the year’s reveals. Of note, he specifically mentioned Everything Everywhere at Once, Top Gun: Maverick, and Steven Spielberg’s The Fablemans.

Mr. Beast Scores Hans Zimmer to Score

YouTube has already proven itself to be big business, but the latest venture by famed YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson (famous for the Mr. Beast channel), has proven that YouTube can be a fertile creative ground for established Hollywood players too. His latest video prominently features a score by famed Hollywood film composer Hans Zimmer, who has made a name for himself working on such hits as The Lion King, Pirates of the Caribbean, and The Dark Knight.

Donaldson, who has pushed the boundaries of YouTube content to great success, credits the partnership to sheer luck. Donaldson revealed that the partnership came about from a chance meeting in Antarctica of all places, where Zimmer happened to be on vacation while Donaldson was filming a video. The resulting video, “I Survived 50 Hours in Antarctica,” can be viewed on YouTube. The original piece, “Antarctica or Bust,” will be available on Spotify at a later date.

The film leads this week’s totals, with the newest Puss In Boots being a far second.
