In a past podcast episode, the star revealed that ever since he got married, his wife has taken on his last name, which makes them both Taylor Lautner. It’s hard to imagine Taylor Lautner, who played the role of the dashing Jacob Black in the Twilight series not getting copious amounts of attention from not just the ladies, but from everyone. But after his marriage to his long-time girlfriend, many of those eyes look at him with suspicion more than admiration.

The reason for this is that his wife, whose maiden name was Taylor Dome, changed her last name to Lautner after the couple married each other in 2022 to Lautner as well, which makes them have the exact same first and last names. Therefore, when the members of airport security have to verify them, they see that they both have the same names, which naturally raises their suspicion.

In a past episode of Good Guys Podcast, the hosts were talking about his matrimonial life when he brought up the name situation that Lautner had to face. Here, the Home Team star didn’t hold anything back and laid all the problems they faced on the table. He said:

“TSA, airports. They’ll be like ‘So, which one of you is Taylor?’ and we’re like ‘Both of us.’ Then, they’re like ‘Okay, okay, which one of you is Taylor Lautner?’ also both of us. They’re like ‘This seems fishy, we’re going to send you to security.'”

While marrying the love of your life is a dream for a majority of the population, Lautner also reveals that it has its own quirky challenges sometimes.

While the star may have been one of the biggest names in the past when he still played the role of the Werewolf in the Twilight series, his career has been not-so-stellar in these past few years.

After the conclusion of the franchise more than a decade ago, the star tried his luck in the action genre of films, but couldn’t make a sizable impact with his performance. Since then, the actor has been seen in reality TV shows and series as well as some films. In 2022, he was seen in a Netflix comedy film titled Home Team, and again in in 2023 in Taylor Swift’s music video I Can See You.
