Ubisoft released a day-one patch update that is creating problems for players with the current save files, especially on PlayStation 5 consoles. The developer has asked players to download the update and those updating will have to start with a new save to “fully enjoy” the game.

If players decide not to update, they will face other issues as stated by the developers including “progression blockers.” So ultimately, players need to let go of their progress and start afresh but they are not happy as many have invested multiple hours in the game.

One fan said that the developer is giving “middle fingers” to players and new customers. While another added that there is no purpose of Early Access if the progress is wiped off. This is not painting a good picture for Ubisoft as the game has already been said to be full of bugs and technical issues.

This issue has enraged a lot of players and it is fair as they have wasted money and time both for Early Access but now it amounts to nothing. After the initial email that prompted players to download the update, the developer followed up.

It apologized to players for the inconvenience and offering a gift. To make the players return to the game with a new save “more special,” Ubisoft is giving players an in-game Trailblazer Trinket and 100 Ubisoft Connect units.

The units can be used to redeem in-game rewards, and more. Players can collect the trinket for their ship from the delivery crate in Toshara.

It also added that it is working on adding user account to Ubisoft Connect for them to be able to use the units. Players are not happy with this gesture from Ubisoft and many have started refunding it.
