Veteran actor Brad Pitt is associated with a Formula One movie that has been the talk of the town for quite a while now. X-Men ’97 creator Beau De Mayo recently took to his X account to claim that he was not a fan of the budget that had been given to the untitled F1 project!

X-Men ’97 Creator Does Not Like The Budget For Brad Pitt’s Film

It has been recently revealed that Brad Pitt is working alongside Top Gun: Maverick director Joseph Kosinski on the Untitled Formula One Racing Movie (which is the working title). Starring Pitt alongside a cameo from Lewis Hamilton and other racers (via IMDB), the film is going to be something else entirely.

On top of the grand scope of the film, the Untitled Formula One Racing Movie also comes with a humongous budget. It was recently revealed that the film has a whopping budget of $300 million which is quite a lot compared to Hollywood standards. With people wondering whether the film will be a success or a flop, X-Men ’97 creator Beau DeMayo doesn’t seem too happy about the budget.

Taking to his X account (formerly Twitter), DeMayo talked about the high budget of the film and seemed to agree with fans that the budget of the upcoming project was quite high compared to other Hollywood films.

The film will portray the story of an F1 driver who comes out of retirement to teach and team up with a younger F1 driver. As of now, Brad Pitt and Damson Idris are currently attached to the project in lead roles while Lewis Hamilton is one of the producers of the film!

On the other hand, Beau DeMayo is no longer a part of Marvel Studios or the Marvel Cinematic Universe. DeMayo, however, continues to talk about the MCU and the latest upcoming Marvel films or throwback to the old ones on his social media.

With the creator earning fame and love from all over the world, DeMayo truly created something iconic with X-Men ’97. Being a modern take on the world of X-Men with a hint of the original series, the creator managed a perfect mixture of the old and the new.

Back in 1992, the original animated show of the X-Men was released titled X-Men: The Animated Series. Taking to his X account, DeMayo stated that the series couldn’t have been possible if not for the OG 1992 show.

Owing his thanks to X-Men: The Animated Series, the creator stated that X-Men ’97 was a debt paid to the older times!

“They had to chart uncharted waters before X-Men was what it was today. There was no mutant zeitgeist. They had to create it. This show is a love letter and a debt paid to them.”

Having released 9 episodes so far and awaiting the 10th one, X-Men ’97 has been praised immensely. The iconic series has received a rating of 9/10 on IMDB and a whopping 98% on Rotten Tomatoes!

X-Men ’97 is currently available to stream on Disney+ in the U.S.
