The beginning of Attack on Titan saw the Jaeger family living peacefully inside Wall Maria. But one day, the rampage of the Colossal Titan and the Armoured Titan broke a hole in Wall Maria, and the man-eating, mindless Titans lurking outside the wall entered the human civilization. During the rampage, Eren Jaeger’s mother, Carla Jaeger, was trapped under the debris, and a creepy-looking Titan devoured her. Eren saw in utter horror.

The Titan had a creepy smile with all her teeth and gums showing and the eyes glittering as if it was enjoying its meal. It was the abnormal Titan form of Dina Fritz, the former wife of Grisha Jaeger. Fans have found the creepy smiling Titan similar to that of the God Statue in Solo Leveling’s Cartenon Temple. As soon as Sung Jin-Woo and the other hunters bowed down, the God Statue showcased one of the most creepiest and horrific smiles in anime history. Just like Eren, Sung Jin-Woo saw the whole thing with utter horror.

The similarity does not end there. Both the protagonist would later again meet their creepy-looking friends. In Attack on Titan, Eren Jaeger coming in contact with Dina Fritz’s Titan helped to unlock the Founding Titan’s powers since she carried the royal blood. In Solo Leveling, Sung Jin-Woo later returns to the Cartenon Temple and kills the God Statue to uphold his position as the strongest hunter and the Shadow Monarch.
