Anime fandoms often create new fan theories regarding their favorite anime, and Demon Slayer is not an exception either. Recently, a question was asked on Reddit, which said who would win in a fight between Gyomei Himejima and Akaza. Even though demon slayers winning the battle would benefit the humans, most fans sided with Upper Moon 3.

Gyomei Could Never Match Up To Akaza

Akaza is the third-most potent demon among the Twelve Upper Moons. Akaza is hated by most of the Demon Slayer fans for killing the Flame Hashira, Kyojuro Rengoku. Even though he killed one of the beloved characters, fans still take his side when the demon is pitched against Gyomei Himejima. The Stone Hashira is the oldest and strongest member of the Hashira. But he will lose against Akaza because of his fighting spirit and compass needle.

Akaza is a trained martial artist and uses his bare hands to counter swords. He has instant regeneration, and his Compass Needle allows him to detect anyone’s presence within a limit. The stronger the battle spirit of a person, the better the detection. Even if anyone tries to attack him at a higher momentum, he can counter them since his compass needle can also identify the direction from which the attack is coming.

Akaza is the only Demon who died of his will. When he was decapitated, his fighting spirit did not let him die, and he was about to grow his head back. However, his human memories returned, and he decided against regenerating his head.

One of the fans said that an unmarked Gyomei could never defeat Akaza, but there is a chance if he unlocked his Demon Slayer mark. However, others believe the Upper Moon 3’s Blood Demon Art and other abilities make him unlikely to die.

As soon as the question was put on Reddit, countless people commented on the post. Most of them sided with Akaza, claiming him to be the stronger of the two. It took two Demon Slayers to defeat Akaza, with one of them using the Hinokami Kagura. Every ability that the Upper Moon 3 has is unique and can counter any attacks.

Demon Slayer has several strong characters, with some of them having greater strength than others. While fans prefer Akaza over Gyomei, the outcome would have changed if Upper Moon 1 had been in place of the latter. Fans love to theorize new things, especially when the Hashiras, along with Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke, get trapped in the Infinity Castle. The last arc will be divided into a trilogy of films and is speculated to release in 2025.

Demon Slayer is currently available to watch on Crunchyroll.
