Presently, MCU is going through one of its worst stages after most of its recent projects failed to impress the audiences. Despite their efforts to scale up their projects in the post-Endgame phase, things are only going downhill as of now. The latest Secret Invasion series was a clear indication of Marvel’s degrading quality. Looks like another blow is on its way to hit the Kevin Feige empire as reports suggest that WandaVision’s spin-off and spiritual successor Agatha: Coven of Chaos can come under the radar of the writers’ and actors’ strike.

The WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes have moved Hollywood to somewhat of a shutdown after most of its ventures are put to a halt. Almost every day, a new project is announced to be delayed due to the studios’ negligence in fulfilling the demands of their workers. As most of the big releases have halted their production and reflect a bleak future ahead, another MCU project becomes its victim.

Will Agatha: Coven of Chaos face a major delay?

WandaVision was MCU’s first voyage in the vast ocean of web series. It kicked off a new era where the stories started to be intertwined among the movies and web series to give birth to a massive outcome. Although it can’t be said that they have been totally successful in that after most of their Disney+ shows failed to leave up the hype, the Elizabeth Olsen show received praise due to several factors.

When it was announced that the witch Agatha Harkness would get a show of his own, the fans looked forward to getting many answers that were left unanswered in WandaVision. Later, it was announced that the show would act as the second season of the first MCU Disney+ show. But now as the strike has started to hunt every upcoming project, Cosmic Circus reports another MCU project to be the prey of it.

While the superhero fans have to wait longer for their questions to be answered, it is also to be noted that the writers and the actors are the wheels of this massive vehicle. By the looks of it, the situation doesn’t look good as the studio giants aren’t ready yet to accept the demands. The Kathryn Hahn show will likely join the list of delayed ventures. However, it can’t be said that this was the only potentially disappointing update as another report also establishes a connection between the upcoming show and Secret Invasion that doesn’t look alright.

Aubrey Plaza’s MCU character raises skepticism regarding the show

Agatha: Coven of Chaos is also slated to introduce Aubrey Plaza in an undisclosed MCU role. It is reported that her character is likely to be an original character made for the show. She is also rumored to have a connection with Kathryn Hahn’s character. But everything was alright until Secret Invasion’s Gi’Ah entered the picture.

Many eyebrows are raised as it is said that her character would be like Emilia Clarke’s Gi’Ah in Secret Invasion. Even though many details are undisclosed yet and the resemblance can only be limited to their MCU originality, the recent track record of Marvel doesn’t let us be much optimistic. Besides Plaza’s mysterious character, Cosmic Circus also reports Nicholas Scratch’s appearance in the MCU show. Nicholas Scratch is Agatha Harkness’ son in the comics.

Now we can only wait for upcoming updates on the show and hope for it to not repeat the mistakes of its past few series. But the trailer for Loki Season 2 also seems to be a saving grace for the studio. Loki has been the only Disney+ MCU project sitting with the most positive reviews. As of now, the Tom Hiddleston adventure looks very interesting and presents hope for another praiseworthy MCU series.

Agatha: Coven of Chaos is scheduled to release sometime in 2024 on Disney+, while Loki Season 2 will drop on October 6, 2023, on Disney+.
