In 2017, Jane Doe (unnamed women in court cases) filled a lawsuit against him—claiming he exposed her to herpes virus during unprotected s*x.

Initially, she sued Usher for $10 million, alleging he didn’t disclose his condition before s*x. Later, she upped it to $20 million, citing emotional harm and punitive damages, too.

Two years later, TMZ reported that the case got dismissed because Usher and the woman “reached an amicable resolution.” When the tabloid asked them about the settlement’s cost “they would only repeat that word … ‘amicable.’ The dismissal was filed with prejudice … meaning it can’t be refiled, and that’s typically done when there’s been a financial settlement,” TMZ wrote.

As per The Daily Mail, the woman was Laura, a jazz musician, who had been friends with Usher for many years before they became romantically involved.
