A new duelist agent was teased to join the fray last month when the State of the Agents blog post mentioned a new agent joining towards the end of the year. Ever since then, there have been no more hints or details shared by Valorant.
The only other hint dropped by Valorant was the image that went with the tease on the blog post, an agent using a chopstick to pick up food from a Chinese hot pot. While the face wasn’t revealed, it did suggest the origins of the new Agent who will be joining the roster soon. Thanks to fresh leaks by a popular Valorant leaker, we now know the details of the next Agent.
Popular Valorant Leaker Reveals Agent 24 Details, Including Name and Image
Popular Valorant data miner and leaker, ValorLeaks, has shared a screenshot from the agent select screen that revealed an image of the upcoming Agent in the game, reportedly named ISO wearing a cloak and featuring black hair. Going by all the teasers revealed by Valorant so far, Agent is also suspected to be another duelist.
Riot Games teaser video from a couple of days back also revealed a male agent who “doesn’t miss”, showing the agent hitting a target perfectly, over and over again. This ties in with the leaked details that Agent 24 will be another extremely powerful shooter. The same teaser video shows other agents watching the feed and banter about how Phoenix might feel jealous of Agent 24’s abilities, while Reyna mentioned he might be quite useful.
Over on Reddit, fans have been speculating the abilities that the Agent might feature, including either an aim-lock ability or an ability to remove recoil for a brief period of time and equipped with a one-shot Golden Gun from Spike Rush.
Valorant introduced Gekko at the beginning of this year, along with the four creatures tied to his abilities, and then also teased a couple more agents coming later this year. Then by June, Valorant introduced Deadlock in the game, the 23rd Agent, and any news about the final agent for the year wasn’t shared until last month’s teaser.
Agent 24 Speculated to Arrive Later This Month
Riot Games also confirmed that the upcoming agent will be introduced in the game before the end of the year, without giving away any exact clues. Act 3 for Episode 7 is all set to begin on the 31st of October, leading many to speculate the 24th Agent will be introduced at the same time. Other expectations from the upcoming Act 3 are the usual map rotations, and the usual Agent adjustments, including ability and weapon nerfs.
The Agent might also debut during the annual Game Changers Championship 2023 is also scheduled to run between the 28th of October and the 3rd of December. Agent 24’s name, ISO, hasn’t revealed much either, as it has different meanings in Mandarin and Greek.
Fans haven’t missed the chance to throw some banter around the name either. While some compared the name to a file format, others compared it to international standards and came up with a bunch of new nicknames around the name of the Agent. Going by the screenshot shared by Valorleaks, however, the banter got replaced by fans actually liking the looks of the Agent.
Given the fact that the Agent is set to be a deadly shooter, the initial abilities are bound to make him a fan-favorite choice for the initial few days until he eventually gets nerfed in some fashion. Until then at least, the banter around the name might stop which will eventually begin again if ever the Agent gets nerfed or gets forgotten.
Before Agent 24 makes his official debut, further leaks might just reveal everything left to know about ISO’s abilities.
