However, there is one thing that the console launch brought with itself that is affecting even the PC players in a very negative way, which has become a major cause of annoyance for many console and PC players.

Valorant on PC and console are not mirror images of each other, as there are still certain things that are unique to the PC as compared to the consoles, but after Riot’s recent change, it seems like PC players are paying a high price for the console release.

In the latest update, some players noticed that the feature of practicing planting and defusing the spike with bots has been completely removed. It was a beneficial practice drill to learn to position and aim.

This has become a major cause of annoyance for a lot of players, as they feel Riot is trying to reduce offline activities in the game so that players spend more time in-game, which is frustrating.

I hate how they removed the spike and defuse training.

Players are currently caught in a discussion where they are comparing the game to Counter-Strike, which allows players to play against bots, which is what players want sometimes.

Riot needs to address this issue, as it feels like a storm’s brewing within the community, and it is annoying everyone who enjoys playing the game and wants to consistently get better at it.

Removing practice drills is one of the most bizarre things attempted by Riot yet, and it does not make any sense practically to make the game identical for both console and PC if that is what it is aiming for.

Valorant on PC Should Not Be Affected Directly by Console Release

Valorant on PC has always been special and has a vast community of gamers, including amateur as well as professional players competing on the world stage.

There is an upper hand that PC holds over the console when it comes to competitive FPS titles that are also a part of the eSports community competing at the biggest stage possible for gamers.

Valorant on PC should have practice drills introduced, as it helps the coaches to plan and train the players and also acts as an important place to try out agents in different scenarios.

The same thing also goes for amateur players, as they too are willing to improve their game and work on themselves to become better at it. More importantly, sometimes players do not want the competitive rush and just want to have a quiet experience for fun’s sake.
