Valorant is one of the most popular first-person shooter titles out there developed and published by Riot Games. The game has a loyal community and the developers never back down from giving gamers exciting content to enjoy at regular intervals. Valorant recently released a new 4-minute trailer titled ‘Welcome to Los Angeles.’ The latest trailer introduces a new map and gives its 2 Agents some amazing and tear-dropping character development.

The new Valorant trailer finally introduces the new map coming in Episode 7 Act 2, after developers dropped some cinematic teasers about the map. This new map will engage players in some new tactics and team combos as it has been quite some since the game had a new map.

Valorant introduces its New Tenth Standard Map

In the newly released trailer, Valorant introduces its new map, Sunset. Sunset is an urban map and is set in Los Angeles. It is the tenth map of the game and has three lanes but only two Spike sites as opposed to Lotus which had three Spike sites. There will also be new content updates coming with Episode 7 Act 2 with the new battle pass.

The map features Art Deco and Mission Style architecture and also has graffiti that developers have sourced from local artists of Los Angeles. There are also some areas in the maps such as the clock tower and parking lot that are affected by Radianite. However, these places are different in comparison to the Radianite-affected areas on other maps, and it’s not known why as of now.

Valorant gives 2 Agents Amazing Character Development

Deadlock and Gekko

With the trailer, the game brought some amazing character development to its 2 agents namely, Deadlock and Gecko. Deadlock is an agent from the Sentinel class and Gekko is from the Initiator class who was added to the game on March 7th, 2023. Deadlock has always hated creatures after she lost her arm to one of them in a life-changing incident.

As per her lore in Valorant, Deadlock loses her arm after a bear attacked her that was from the Kingdom’s Project Landfall experiment. While Gekko’s ability is to summon and use creatures on the battlefield, including Wingman that are also results of the same experiment and she sees them as potential dangers.

However, in the latest trailer, Deadlock can be seen trusting Gekko and Wingman for the first time. The trailer shows major character development among the agents as they converse and try to get out of a deadly situation. This has kept the Valorant community on its heels waiting for the map to drop.
