Vince McMahon Faces Lawsuit Alleging S*xual Assault and S*x Tr*fficking

Janel Grant, a former WWE employee, has filed a lawsuit accusing WWE boss Vince McMahon of s*xually abusing her and tr*fficking her to other men in the company. The Wall Street Journal first reported the news.

The lawsuit, filed Thursday in a Connecticut federal court, also alleged that McMahon pushed her for a s*xual relationship in exchange for the job, and soon “greeted her in his underwear, touched her, repeatedly asked for hugs, and spent hours sharing intimate details about his personal life.”

When McMahon pushed Ms. Grant for a physical relationship in return for long-promised employment at WWE, she felt trapped in an impossible situation: submitting to McMahon’s sexual demands or facing ruin,” the lawsuit says.

Grant alleged that her tenure at WWE ultimately came to an end because McMahon’s wife Linda discovered the affair. Grant signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement with the promise of a $3 million payment, of which she claims she has received $1 million.

Grant’s lawyer, Ann Callis, in a statement, said,

Today’s complaint seeks to hold accountable two WWE executives who sexually assaulted and trafficked Plaintiff Janel Grant, as well as the organization that facilitated or turned a blind eye to the abuse and then swept it under the rug.” (Via CNBC)

A spokesman for McMahon said,

This lawsuit is replete with lies, obscene made-up instances that never occurred and a vindictive distortion of the truth.”

He will vigorously defend himself,” the spokesman said.

McMahon stepped down as WWE’s CEO in June 2022 amid an investigation by the company’s board into alleged hush-money payments to women who accused him of s*xual misconduct. McMahon returned to the company in January 2023 as executive chairman.

Who is Janel Grant?

As per the lawsuit, former WWE employee Janel Grant was hired by McMahon in 2019 as an administrator-coordinator in WWE’s legal department. And she was terminated when McMahon’s wife found out about the affair.

The lawsuit says that McMahon lived in the same building as Grant and in 2019 offered to get her a job at WWE after her parents died.

Grant also alleges that she became McMahon’s s*xual toy and that he and others, including Laurinaitis, had unwanted s*x with her at times, including th*eesomes.

Behind a locked door, the two men cornered her and pulled her in between them, forcibly touched her, before ultimately putting her on top of a table in between them,” the complaint stated. She begged them to stop, but they forced themselves on her, each taking turns restraining her for the other.”
