COD Zombies Just Added Another Mystery to the Lore

The trailer begins with Eddie Richtofen spending some quality time with his family. It turns out it was a dream—a nightmare, to be precise—as he watches his wife and kid burn for a short moment. The rest of it follows Liberty Falls in the early 90s.

Richtofen has come a long way since the Black Ops days, and we are not just talking about the narrative but the evolution of graphics. IW 9.0 certainly does the job, and its magical.

Another thing to get the fans to the edges of their seats would be Project Janus. Richtofen has been going about it silently until now. During the 2:20 minute mark in the new cinematic trailer, we can see him order the emergency activation of the project.

Some fans theorized that Richtofen is trying to bring his wife and son back from the dead. However, Eddie clearly says to the mysterious energy that “I swear to you son, you’ll never be free.” That would raise some serious questions on the theory.

What do you think of the returning voice actor behind Eddie Richtofen? We would like to know your thoughts in the comments section below.
