Lord Voldemort’s original design, as claimed by an Instagram user, is very different from what is represented on the screen. Voldemort is already terrifying in his appearance. Ralph Fiennes has justified the character with his acute performance bringing the gloomy darkness that felt vivid urging the wailing of ache from every heroic character he encounters.

The makers had a different design in mind and it is horror-infested. His head resembled a snake with a wide mouth with fangs and sharp pointed teeth to complement the scary look. That’s not all, the bald pale head is even terrifying. He has no ears or nose, the eyes explicitly reveal the storm of horror within.

The look was simply meant to be a humanoid snake but the makers went through fine-tuning with several rough sketches and eventually, they created Voldemort the way he appeared on the screen.

Fans Reacted to The Original Voldemort Look

The original Voldemort had a bizarre look that had an even darker undertone embedded with pre-annexed fear. Now, as the original look hits social media, fans have come to share their thoughts on it. “The kids would have been shitting the beds, Jesus,” one user wrote on Instagram. “The original looks more accurate but put the eyes on the new one on the original. Voldemort isn’t supposed to have fangs. He’s not El chupacabra,” wrote another.

“It’s a really cool design, but I think it detaches the audience from the character. The final is a really bad person who you’d call a monster and the concept is a literal monster. It’s harder to connect with a character the further they move away from any personification,” another explained.

One fan rejected the look completely, “Nah too snaky then human. Like the first choice better.” Of course, the snake-like head would be too literal to justify his relation to snakes, or especially, Nagini. Further, he is the descendant of Salazar Slytherin so, he possesses the ability to communicate with snakes and they have always been a companion of the Dark Lord.
