Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff has undeniably become a cornerstone of the MCU. Her transformation from a grieving civilian to a reality-altering sorceress is nothing short of spectacular. Possessing power on a cosmic scale, she’s arguably the MCU’s most potent hero.

With such immense potential, it’s unthinkable that Kevin Feige would sideline her. Especially as the MCU gears up for an iconic clash with Robert Downey Jr.’s iconic villain, Doctor Doom.

Kevin Feige Must Leverage the MCU’s Strongest Avenger Against Doctor Doom

Elizabeth Olsen‘s Scarlet Witch can easily be Marvel’s strongest superhero. A fact that even MCU president Kevin Feige agreed with during an interview. Scarlet Witch, aka Wanda Maximoff’s mastery of chaos magic, allows her to manipulate reality on a cosmic scale. The same was demonstrated in her creation of an entire reality in WandaVision.

Further, her potential was unleashed to a terrifying level in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, where she effortlessly subdued multiple powerful heroes. While other superheroes possess immense strength or cosmic energy, Wanda’s ability to reshape reality itself puts her in a class of her own.

But tragically, her story reached a heartbreaking end in Multiverse of Madness. Wanda, consumed by grief and corrupted by the Darkhold, embarked on a destructive path. However, in the final act of redemption, she sacrifices herself to destroy the Darkhold and prevent further destruction.

But given the nature of the multiverse, there are intriguing possibilities of her resurrection or alternate appearances. Something that the fans on Instagram also want, given that the new villain Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom is just around the corner.

An Instagram user named s.erenity.me noted, “Wanda could’ve killed Thanos alone if he didn’t have that damn alien army distracting her.” However, there’s a growing sense of frustration over her underutilization, as mymyrtille2006 commented, “Marvel is just wasting the character atp,” and jack1_826 adds, “Completely missed opportunity with her character.”

Despite this, loona.draw5 asserts, “one of the strongest and I currently think the strongest,” and rembrarey emphasizes, “Even Doctor Strange can’t be competitive with her.” The death of the character seemed highly unlikely in the movie given her immense strength and the nature of her abilities.

For a character of her power, surviving an event like a stone falling on her was not plausible. But putting an end to this constant contention, the MCU confirmed that Scarlet Witch had indeed died in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. However, Wanda might return if the storyline in the upcoming Agatha All Along provides a compelling narrative for her resurrection.

Agatha’s Role in Bringing Back the Scarlet Witch

After years of wondering what actually happened to the Scarlet Witch in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the first trailer of Agatha All Along sheds light on the fate of Wanda Maximoff. Following her presumed death in the movie, the trailer features a chilling scene in which Wanda’s name appears on a notepad with a specific date, with a character ominously adding, “That witch is gone.”

Leaving little ambiguity about her tragic end. However, despite this, fans have a glimmer of hope. The introduction of the Witches’ Road, a mystical realm for the comics that Agatha Harkness is pursuing, hints at a potential escape route for Wanda. This dimension might serve as an unexpected refuge, offering a potential path for her return.

But in the midst of all this, the question remains whether Agatha would be able to navigate the Witches’ Road and bring Wanda back or not. Thus, the character’s future in the MCU depends on how the creators navigate the storyline. Another aspect also depends on whether Elizabeth Olsen wants to reprise her character in the MCU or not.
