During their time together, the ex-couple enjoyed various luxuries together, one of them being their New Orleans mansion, which they reportedly bought for $3.5 million in 2006. However, it was sold soon after the Maleficent actress filed for divorce from her husband. And the same mansion is back on the market years after their split.

Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie Bought the Mansion Shortly After They Started Dating

Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie were first linked after their 2005 movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Soon, they were together and reportedly bought the New Orleans mansion in 2006. It was also around the time when the Bullet Train star was establishing his Make it Right foundation in Louisiana following Hurricane Katrina to aid in the environmentally friendly rebuilding of houses.

However, after nearly nine years of owning the property, they put it on sale in the market reportedly for $6.5 million. Six months after the listing, they dropped the asking price by $850,000, bringing it down to $5.65 million. The property was ultimately sold for $4.9 million in 2016, and listing agents called it a fair deal for both parties.

The president and CEO of Interluxe Auctions, Scott Kirk, has described the mansion as an extraordinary property, saying that it is a “blend of history, modern amenities, and prime location.” The mansion also includes a chef’s kitchen with a large butcher’s block island and a custom marble pantry.
