Warner Bros., a company that has been a giant in the entertainment industry, recently celebrated a huge milestone. The company was started all the way back in 1923 by four brothers and on April 04, 2023, it officially completed a hundred years in the industry. Warner Bros is celebrating this milestone by releasing new products, content, and experiences for its loyal fans.
While it is a joyous occasion, one simply cannot overlook the cloud of gloom over it. In recent months, Warner Bros. has been on the receiving end of a lot of criticism owing to everything that has been going on over at the DC Studios. Fans of the superhero universe are refusing to celebrate the 100 years of Warner Bros. after James Gunn and Peter Safranâs vision brought the much-loved SnyderVerse to an end.
Fans Ask Warner Bros. to Restore the SnyderVerse
Ever since the Snyderverse was brought to an end by James Gunn and Peter Safranâs vision for the DCU, fans have been furious. On April 04, 2023, Warner Bros. reminisced about the âUnforgettable momentsâ seen by the company in the last 100 years by sharing a heartfelt video on Twitter. However, the post didnât receive as many positive replies as they would have hoped.
Today we are celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Warner Bros! From Bugs Bunny through today, cheers to a century of unforgettable moments! #WB100 pic.twitter.com/aTfbUWL7Rc

The fans of Zack Snyder have been actively lobbying for the restoration of the SnyderVerse as they are not ready to say goodbye just yet. They are even urging Warner Bros. to sell the rights to the SnyderVerse to Netflix. From Henry Cavillâs Superman to Gal Gadotâs Wonder Woman, fans believe there is so much more left to the charactersâ stories which is why they cannot end so abruptly. Hereâs what fans on Twitter have to say,
The most unforgettable moments are where you've ruined a creator's film and then refused to let anyone see it as it was.
Like Wes Craven's 1986 "Deadly Friend", or David Ayer's Suicide Squad 30 years later.

Creating Unforgettable moments indeed. @wbd celebrates more missed opportunities & poor decision making for truly memorable moments like cancelling the Constantine sequel. Failure to #releasetheayercut and completely abandoning Henry cavill & the Snyderverse. #wb100 congrats pic.twitter.com/weqoEoRjtP

The hashtags, â#SellSnyderVerseToNetflixâ and â#RestoreTheSnyderVerse are being used every day by the fans. There is no way you would log on to Twitter and not see these hashtags around. Fans are desperately trying to get their favorite superheroes and stories back. However, will the Studios give up and listen to the fans? Will the SnyderVerse finally be restored?
Zack Snyder Talks about the SnyderVerse
With everything going on between the Studios and the fans, it is only fair to see what the man himself has to say about it all. During an appearance on the Vodka Stream, Snyder talked about the possibility of the SnyderVerse getting sold to Netflix. The Man of Steel director stated that all of it was way above his pay grade.
âIt would be amazing if, you know, I could like, whatever, control over the IP [that] exists. I donât…thatâs not my part. Thatâs not my role. As I say, itâs above my pay grade.â
Snyder also praised the Studios for being supportive of SnyderCon, his charity event, and added that the ânew groupâ was caring and kind.
âBut I would say that â Iâll say one thing. Warner Bros., as far as I am concerned, as far as this [SnyderCon] is concerned, have been incredible. This group now is beyond kind and caring and personal. Itâs been amazing working with them. I have no complaints. Beyond that, as far as the creative goes and what theyâre planning? I honestly have been busy shooting. I have no idea what theyâre up to…Itâs really not my call, I guess is the point.â
Well, there you have it. While fans would love to see the return of the SnyderVerse, there is really nothing Snyder can do. For the time being, fans can do nothing but cling to the hope they have and continue lobbying for SnyderVerseâs return!
