Ever since Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been exciting everyone about DC’s Black Adam, the people have been left wondering. DC has found itself amidst a lot of chaos, controversies, and provocations of cancellation from the public. The fans are now praying that the anti-hero movie should do well in box office collections or else the chaos over at WB Studios…will increase.
Embroiled along the ride, fans are worried that another film met a cold fate that was a bit harsh for the crew. Olivia Wilde’s Don’t Worry Darling found itself at an average score of 46% on Rotten Tomatoes by the early review of critics.
WB Better Hope For Black Adam To Succeed
The soon-to-be-released Don’t Worry Darling was received poorly by early critics despite a solid cast and an interesting plot to follow. Growing suspicious of her husband’s ever-increasing activities, a woman decides to investigate is the storyline for the film which failed to deliver. Despite boasting Florence Pugh (from Black Widow fame) and Harry Styles as the lead roles, the film failed. This creates a lot of pressure on DC and WB for the success of Black Adam.

Dwayne Johnson could very well become the savior that WB Studios and DC are looking for after making Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill sit down on the benches and not portray their characters of Batman and Superman. Fans took to Twitter to warn WB (but to roast mostly) about the success that Black Adam should reach to save the studios.

Fans had been hyped up for Don’t Worry Darling as Olivia Wilde was helming the project as director. It is yet unclear the circumstances behind the removal of well-known actor Shia LaBeouf from the movie as the lead hero but this was one of the starting points to find controversies attracted. The former actor was replaced by Harry Styles for which the role had been originally made and yet despite all of this, the film failed to perform properly.

Before there was Black Adam, there was The Flash. Lead actor Ezra Miller found themselves in an endless cesspit of controversies including stealing alcohol from a house in Vermont and having a cult in Iceland in 2020. WB Studios and DC received heavy backlash for continuing support for Ezra Miller by continuing the release of The Flash movie.
After the failure of Don’t Worry Darling, the weight of the entire DC rests on the muscular shoulders of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. It is all up to his marketing (which he is doing quite enthusiastically) and the way of making the film that continued support for DC and Warner Bros. Discovery may remain in the following nearby future.
DC’s Black Adam is set to release on 21st October 2022 while Don’t Worry Darling will be available to the audience in theaters from 23rd September 2022.
