Being as successful as she is, it is only natural that the public takes great interest in knowing about the personal life of the actress, more specifically, her love life. With this, it is also no surprise that the actress is asked quite a lot of questions on the particular aspect of her life during interviews. What is surprising, however, is the actress not only commenting on the subject but also going on a rant about it.

Jennifer Aniston’s Messy Relationship With Brad Pitt

Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt’s marriage at its height can only be referred to as the golden couple of Hollywood. Having started dating four years after they met in 1994, and getting engaged in November of 1999, the two dominated all media outlets with news of their relationship and were married for five years. Things, however, took a turn when Pitt was cast in the 2004 film, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, alongside Angelina Jolie, who was ruling Hollywood at the time with her talent.

While there had been rumors going around that Pitt and Jolie had gotten involved with each other while working on this film, there was nothing concrete. This was until the two were featured on a magazine cover looking more like a married couple than co-stars, with them being put in a domestic setting surrounded by two children. Soon after this, the public was furious, and Pitt and Aniston split up after the Friends actress filed for divorce.

Jennifer Aniston Talked About Her Divorce With Brad Pitt

Though the real reason for Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt’s divorce was not explicitly stated, many were convinced that the main reason for this was the actor’s relationship, or perhaps affair, with his Mr. and Mrs. Smith co-star, Angelina Jolie. This was proved to be right when Jolie and Pitt went public with their relationship soon after his divorce from Aniston. The FRIENDS actress did go on to talk about all that conspired in the situation during a 2005 interview.

“There’s a sensitivity chip that’s missing,” Aniston stated, speaking of Pitt. “Is it odd timing? Yeah, but it’s not my life. He makes his choices. He can do — whatever. We’re divorced and you can see why.” When asked directly about the affair rumors, she stated, “I just don’t know what happened. At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised by anything, but I would much rather choose to believe him.”

During this interview, Aniston stated that she believed that what he did was extremely insensitive and is, perhaps, the main reason why the two parted ways. Despite this, however, many years later, after Pitt and Jolie separated in 2014, the actor finally realized what he did to Aniston, as well as how much that might have hurt her and the two ended up reconciling.
