Before Starr was finalized for the role of Homelander, the actor didn’t read the script for a week and a half. Thinking that the superhero role should go to Henry Cavill instead of him, Starr was very insecure about his own body as he revealed to Metro UK.

I didn’t look at [the script] for a week and a half and then I saw it was a superhero thing and I thought they’re not going to pick me anyway, I’m not made for that. Henry Cavill’s 12 feet tall, built like a 12 foot brick sh*t house and he’s wonderful, handsome, and charming-I’m not going to get that.”

Well, Antony Starr proved himself wrong with his iconic portrayal of Homelander in Amazon’s The Boys. With 3 seasons to its name, the actors are currently busy finishing season 4 of The Boys. The Antony Starr series is available to stream on Prime Video around the world.
