Patrick Stewart Did Not Like to Have Fun Amid Filming
During a recent interview with The New Yorker, Patrick Stewart recalled starring in the sci-fi TV series Star Trek: The Next Generation. The actor shared that in order to work on his book, he rewatched the series. And he said that he was pretty disappointed with his work in the show.
“I was disappointed with what I saw, particularly the first season, and specifically my work,” he told The New Yorker. Further in the conversation, he talked about a meeting of his cast members regarding their performances, as he believed that they were not disciplined enough.
When one of them told Stewart to have a little fun, he lashed out. “And I thumped the chair and said, “We are not here to have fun,” he shared during the interview. The 83-year-old actor has said that he realized his fault in the situation, and his co-stars helped him loosen up and become freer.
