While filming was still in progress, they were able to use this method to spot any scenes or plot points that needed to be reshot. Actress Vanessa Kirby, who was brought back to play The White Widow, praised this method.

The Crown actress related a time when the story required them to return to a location months after filming a scene in a train car in order to finish the loose ends. Kirby lauded the dedication to making the best possible movie, a trait she said typified the entire Mission: Impossible franchise.

“They’re always checking what they have, and then we do reshoots within the shoot.” Vanessa Kirby, returning in Dead Reckoning as The White Widow, is also fully on board with this way of working. “We were shooting in a train carriage. And because of Covid we had moved on from that location, and then we realised we needed to get something else to tie in. We even came back a couple of months ago to that scene. It’s cool that you know that it will be the best version, and that they don’t stop until they get it.”
