Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have been on the news a lot recently because of their surprise wedding announcement. The couple has spent years with their respective partners but also claimed an on-again-off-again romance with each other when they first caught the public eye together almost 20 years ago and broke off their engagement almost 18 years ago.

Ben Affleck got married to Jennifer Lopez in the fabulous city of Las Vegas, known for its casino, resorts, luxury hotels, and most of all, chapels. The city is known for keeping the romance alive as couples tend to elope and get hitched and it seems that is exactly what was in the cards when JLo and Affleck decided it was time.

Ben Affleck and JLo’s Vegas Wedding
The couple officially got married on July 16, 2022, as Benjamin Geza Affleck and Jennifer Lynn Lopez. They registered themselves to get a marriage license in Clark County, Nevada, and their marriage at the Vegas chapel was witnessed, possibly even by their children. JLo soon after wrote on her website/newsletter, OnTheJLo, to share the happy news with a long post:
“We did it. Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient… This is exactly what we wanted. Last night we flew to Vegas, stood in line for a license with four other couples, all making the same journey to the wedding capital of the world… [We wanted] the world to recognize us as partners and to declare our love to the world through the ancient and nearly universal symbol of marriage.”

She calls it her dream wedding, one she had wanted for a long time and with Ben Affleck, it seems her dream did come true.
“They were right when they said, “all you need is love”. We are so grateful to have that in abundance, a new wonderful family of five amazing children and a life that we have never had more reason to look forward to.”

It seems that whatever the case with the netizens though, the couple is as much in love as young teenagers discovering first loves.
