Alan Ritchson Has An Interesting Pick For His Idol

Alan Ritchson, portraying the character Jack Reacher, has been compared to classic action movie heroes such as Sylvester Stallone’s John Rambo and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Commando character, John Matrix for good reason. After all, Lee Child’s Jack Reacher character is a former Marine who takes matters into his own hands.

While speaking to Variety, Alan Ritchson considers himself a big fan of those actors and the aforementioned characters. That said, Alan Ritchson revealed that his biggest idol is none other than Harrison Ford.

The way that he can make you laugh as he grunts the line through gritted teeth … we don’t have a lot of men that can do that these days,” Ritchson said. “But it’s something that I like to bring to characters: that grizzled malice while finding a way to remain likable.”

Harrison Ford has been part of quite a few iconic film franchises over the course of his career, most of which have become significant parts of pop culture in general. This includes the beloved Indiana Jones franchise for good reason.
