Ever since actor Jamie Foxx was hospitalized for an unknown medical complication in April, speculation has been rife about the kind of illness the actor could have suffered. A month after the incident, his daughter Corinne Foxx stated that her father was back home and recuperating from the setback. A few days later though, reports indicated that the Ray actor was undergoing physical therapy at a specialized facility in Chicago.

The exact nature of Foxx’s condition is still unclear, with many people, including former boxer Mike Tyson assuming that the actor had suffered a serious medical condition like a stroke or a spinal chord injury. Speaking in the PBD Podcast, Tyson shared his thoughts on Jamie Foxx’s health and the reasons behind the lack of clarity regarding the same.

Former heavy weight boxing champion Mike Tyson is no stranger to being bruised and battered in the ring. Due to the nature of his sport, the athlete has had his fair share of serious injuries throughout his career. Tyson’s time in the ring ended in 2005 due to an acute back ailment which augmented over the years to become a debilitating condition called sciatica, that has forced the athlete to resort to a wheelchair on numerous occasions. Speaking of Jamie Foxx and his mystery medical condition, Tyson gave a reality check about life and said,

“Look, we can’t anticipate our next breath. We don’t know when we are gonna die. After we leave this, bad stuff can happen”

When Tyson was asked if his biographical television series, which was to have starred Jamie Foxx was still in the works, the former boxer said that nothing was sure at present but could still become a reality based on the Django Unchained actor’s recovery. The athlete also commented on the path of secrecy that Foxx’s family has adopted with regard to his illness. He stated that if they had chosen not to speak about it, then it should be assumed that they were not keen for the public to know as yet.

In a recent episode of his podcast Hotboxin’, Mike Tyson revealed that he wanted his biographical television series to be in animated form and expressed the desire to see himself as a cartoon. While Tyson’s decision may sound radical or unexpected, it isnt entirely surprising given his history of taking risks and trying new things.

Moreover, this isn’t the first time that the heavyweight champion has been involved in the world of animation. In recent years, Tyson has lent his voice to various animated TV shows and movies while also making brief appearance as himself in the show Family Guy. He also starred in the Mike Tyson Mysteries series as a cartoon version of himself, solving mysteries with his sidekicks. With his penchant for the the animated form of storytelling, it will be interesting to see which direction he finally decides to take for his television series.
